Happy Owl Bookshop - There is no one like us in person, and no one like us online. We are not owned by a corporation, we are not part of a chain. We are that increasingly rare find — a tiny independent bookshop. We exist to keep real conversations between book lovers alive. We exist to nourish and build a community based on books. We are a neighborhood bookshop.
The Happy Owl Bookshop is a wonderful little independent bookshop in the heart of Manistee's Downtown district. We are filled to the brim with new books, magazines,
educational toys, newspapers, cards and gifts. Relax for a moment as you make your selections in our comfy furnishings surrounded with a bit whimsy to make your shopping experience memorable. We hope you take the time to enjoy a careful curated collection, the latest award winners, the classics, your childhood favorites, books from which you can learn, and books that delight and entertain you.
We also special order books for no additional charge and we appreciate these orders. If you don't see what you are looking for on the shelf, just ask and we will be happy to check to see if we can order it for you.
We are committed to finding and stocking the very best in children's books. We hope that our lovingly crafted reading nook with cozy kids chairs, will be one of those special spots children use happily and remember fondly.
